April Activities 2026
April brings the “Days of Ridván (Paradise)” — the 12 days celebrating the start of the Bahá’í Faith. During these days the announcement was made by the Founder Bahá’u’lláh that He was the most recent Divine Teacher from God, and the Promised One of all religions. Bahá’ís around the world will be commemorating these joyous days, and everyone is welcomed to join in, starting April 21st.

Interfaith Devotions: Beaverton Bahá’í Center
Sun April 5, 10:30 am. Bahá’í Center, 5355 SW Murray Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005. This week the theme is Easter. Many religious, mystical, and mythological traditions have accounts of miraculous births including births by virgins. Christians celebrate the miraculous birth of Jesus every spring. Readings from Christianity, Islam, and the Baha'i Faith support the notion of a miraculous birth. This can be seen as an event that occurred in our physical universe (God can do what God chooses) or as a metaphor for the existence of a truly miraculous individual whose life had significant, widespread effects on human culture.
Humanity is facing many global problems. We need to be united to address transnational issues, we need the insights and contributions of all human cultures to solve these problems. Religion has always taught us to be united, first at the family level and then at wider levels such as clan, tribal, regional, ... today at the level of all humanity and the entire biosphere and all life. Readings from a variety of religious traditions emphasize these ideas.
Everyone of all ages is welcome! There will be a period for open prayers and singing. Starting about 11 am there will be a free children's program for ages from 2 to 6 years. You are welcome to bring your kids and to help out with the children or attend the devotions program.
