Interfaith Devotions: Beaverton Bahá’í Center
Every Sunday, 10:30-11:30. Bahá’í Center, 5355 SW Murray Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005.
This week the theme is Devotion to God. Religion teaches us that we are essentially spiritual beings created to know, love, and obey God. The Baha'i Faith also teaches us that there is one God who we have always worshiped. That there is one religion (the worship of God) that humanity has always followed - although its social teachings have varied according to the needs and capacities of people over the ages. And that there is one human family - all of us. The Baha'i Faith teaches that God has always spoken to us through special Messengers. These Messengers (or Manifestations of God's nature) have always told us what we needed to hear and could understood to continue to grow spiritually and materially. The basic spiritual teachings of Religion have always continued from age to age. These teachings can also be found in all the religions of humanity although not always so clearly stated.
Everyone of all ages is welcome! Bring your friends for a pleasant spiritual experience. There will be a period for open prayers and singing. We will have a free children's program at the same time as the interfaith devotions.
Masks, social distancing, and vaccinations are recommended. There will be coffee and tea. As always at the Center there are no donations.
