The Shrine of the Báb
The Shrine of the Báb is on Mt. Carmel, Haifa. When the Báb was laid to rest there in 1909, the Shrine building was a simple stone one, and the surrounding mountain was stones and bare ground. Over decades, the Bahá’ís added the dome, then the 19 terraced gardens. The Bahá’í gardens and Shrine are open to all with no charge or donation.
